Brand Story

At its peak in 1983, Japan’s traditional crafts industry was worth ¥540 billion. Since then, it has steadily declined to less than ¥100 billion in 2016 — just one-sixth of its former scale today.

Meanwhile, 67% of certified traditional artisans are over 60, and many of these skills and cultural treasures are quietly disappearing.

Guided by this belief, we are collaborating with young Kutani artisans to bring their one-of-a-kind patterns into daily life as “wearable art.”
